Nevadans Take Stock After Heller’s Trumpcare Bill Tumbles

On Tuesday, U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky) announced the latest version of Trumpcare would not get a floor vote this week. The next day, Nevadans voiced their frustration over Senator Dean Heller (R) cosponsoring this Trumpcare bill as they urged Congress to pivot to legislation that could actually improve Nevadans’ health care. Child Care Takes Center Stage at the Nevada Legislature in SB 147 Hearing

Yesterday, the Senate Revenue and Economic Development Committee of the Nevada Legislature heard SB 147. This bill aims to offer up to a $2,500 tax credit to workers earning 85% or less of the median income.
