On Saturday, May 13, about 30 Indivisible volunteers gathered at Battle Born Progress’ Las Vegas office to discuss Donald Trump, Congress, health care policy, education, state and local government, and much more with Rep. Ruben Kihuen (D-Las Vegas). Protesters Removed from “Sold Out” Private Las Vegas Luncheon with Dean Heller

U.S. Senator Dean Heller (R) appeared before the Latin Chamber of Commerce in Las Vegas. Unlike his last appointment with the Chamber, he finally appeared in person. This time, he appeared to a “sold out” crowd… But how “sold out” was the event, really? And this time, protesters were forcibly removed from the luncheon after they shouted questions at the Senator. As the U.S. House finally narrowly voted to pass the American Health Care Act (AHCA, or Trumpcare), the Nevada Legislature held another hearing on a resolution urging Congress not to pass this or other legislation to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA, or Obamacare).
