Constituents Forcibly Removed from LIBRE Forum As Heller Praised Passage of Trump Tax Plan

Hours after Senator Dean Heller (R) voted to pass the Senate version of the Trump Tax Plan, he appeared at the LIBRE Initiative’s policy forum at the Palace Station in Las Vegas to make his case. Yet as Heller was confronted by constituents with their questions about the tax plan, the federal budget, and immigration reform, LIBRE and Station Casinos security removed these constituents from the event as Heller attempted to deflect and stick to his message. Despite Tweaks, Trump Tax Plan Still Poses Major Risks for Nation’s Fiscal Health and Health Care System

Earlier today, the U.S. Senate Budget Committee narrowly approved a revised version of the Trump Tax Plan. Republican leaders made a few changes to win over holdouts in their caucus, but these changes don’t actually change the core of this tax package. It still primarily benefits the wealthiest Americans, it still grows the budget deficit while providing little economic benefit, and it still poses major risk to the nation’s health care system. Nevadans Visit Heller’s Office to Demand “Not One Penny” for Trump’s Tax Plan

The “Not One Penny” coalition of progressive activists called a national day of action against the Trump Tax Plan on Tuesday. Here in Nevada, that meant yet another group of constituents paying Senator Dean Heller’s (R) Las Vegas office a visit.
