For the first time since his extradition to Nevada, Ammon Bundy walked outside the Lloyd George Federal Courthouse in Las Vegas this morning to greet family, supporters, and the media. Opinion: Why Courts Matter for the Muslim Community

Since 9/11, the Muslim American community has been enduring hateful speech, discrimination, excessive screening at airports, bullying, vandalism, and even death as a result of increasing anti-Muslim bigotry in recent years. From the outset of his campaign, now-President Donald Trump has perpetrated—and encouraged—hate speech toward the Muslim community without remorse or regard for its devastating consequences. Las Vegas Constituents to Senator Heller: “Where’s the Love?”

It’s quickly become a tradition of sorts. Progressive activists visit U.S. Senator Dean Heller’s (R) Las Vegas district office on #ResistTrumpTuesdays to demand he do more to stand up to President Donald Trump’s agenda. As Heller continues to approve more of Trump’s controversial Cabinet Nominees, activists made a special Valentine’s Day visit to ask him to show more love to his constituents (and less to Trump).
