Joint Chiefs of Staff to Trump: No Change on Transgender Service Until There’s an Actual Rules Change

On Thursday, General Joseph Dunford, Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, announced the military’s current policy that allows transgender Americans to serve will remain in place until Trump actually sends the Defense Department a rules change and Defense Secretary James Mattis issues new guidelines. Sandoval Dismisses Trump’s Tweets, Keeps in Place Transgender Inclusive Policies for Nevada National Guard

On Thursday, Governor Brian Sandoval (R) announced he will maintain current LGBTQIA inclusive non-discrimination policy for the Nevada National Guard. This comes after President  Donald Trump’s tweets. In a statement released earlier, Sandoval said, “We will serve all of the members of our military as well as they serve us and give them the full respect they have earned. They deserve nothing less.”
